ActionFigureInsider uncovered a promotional flyer from a Japanese company which is producing a variety of trinkets for the Indiana Jones series (including miniature versions of the holy grail and the lost ark). Among the group of items is what appears to be the first look at the Crystal Skull. You can check out the photo after the jump, not included on the main page because of spoiler potential.
Photo After The Jump
Yes, it does look like extraterrestrial skull, further confirming Darabont’s alien storyline.

I like the plot and all but I hope they don’t do something stupid and try to explain the Ark, the Sankara stones and the Holy Grail as being related to “aliens”. That would ruin the whole experience for me and turn the series into science fiction - which we already have enough of. The 1st film was based on the Jewish faith, the second Hinduism (in a way) and the last on Christianity. I assumed the 4th movie would touch on the Islamic religion.
